Directions to Fisaasbos
Fisaasbos is approximately 13km outside of Tulbagh, on the valley road. Entering Tulbagh from Cape Town via Nuwekloof Pass, turn left into the main drag, Van der Stel Street. If you’re coming from Bainskloof via Wolseley, you’ll enter tow n on Van der Stel Street. Pass through town and continue along this road, pass ing the Dutch Reformed Church (right) and then the Showgrounds (left). Approximately 4km out of town there’s a fork in the road. You will notice the Drostdy on your right, but keep to the left. Appr 10km out of town there’s a second fork in the road, showing ‘Misgund’ right. Keep left for ‘Winterhoek’. Another couple of kms and the road starts narrowing. You should notice a Cul de Sac sign that reads ‘Turn here’. Keep going – and slow now please – until the road (still tarred all the way) takes a sudden dive to the ‘Gaatjie’. As you emerge from the dive, keep left (still) and follow the small Fisaasbos sign up the steepish gravel road. Less than 1km u p you’ll arrive at your destination.
Directions to The Stables
Head out of Cape Town on the N1 towards Paarl. At the Klapmuts R44 junction, turn towards Wellington. Head straight over the R45 four way stop and over the bridge. At the next junction follow the R44 to the left past the bottom of Wellington heading towards Ceres.
Past Hermon and Gouda on your left, through the Nuwekloof Pass where the road becomes the R46. You will see signs to the left indicating the left turn to Tulbagh.
Once you have arrived in our sweet dorp, you will see the Oude Kerk on your left, head towards it and right into Church Street. The Stables are no 20 Church Street.
